You Can't Visit Los Angeles Without Visiting Griffith Park! When you hear the name Griffith Park you may conjure up the image of your standard city park, but this is not what Griffith Park is! This is an area of Los Angeles that will allow you to see and do many things, perhaps some of the most memorable things that you will do while visiting Los Angeles. The park is not just your average park and that starts with the size, as it covers more than 4,000 acres and offers visitors the ability to enjoy oak trees, and of course, the Hollywood sign, which is located on the well known Mt. Lee. In addition to the Hollywood sign you will also be able to take in the Los Angeles Zoo. If you are a zoo lover this is definitely a zoo worth checking out with a wide variety of animals to see, new things to learn, and more. A zoo is always something that will keep your interest and is a great tourist attraction for the old and young alike, and even if you have visited the LA Zoo before this is always a great way to spend your time. Some other interesting points of interest while you are in the area include the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage, the Greek Theatre, the Griffith Observatory, and the Travel Town Museum. You can also enjoy the park merry-go-round as well as a pony ride! While Griffith Park is technically one place, it actually encompasses many different opportunities that you will not find outside of Los Angeles. |
