Get the Insider's View of Los Angeles at Venice Beach

If Venice Beach is on your list of things that you would like to see while you are in Los Angeles, you'll definitely get a different look at L.A. than if you simply visit the other tourist destinations. If you visit Venice Beach you will want to give yourself two hours to a full day to spend time exploring and enjoying the area. When you visit Venice Beach you are getting not only a beach with the sand and the surf, but also some truly amazing entertainment from a wide variety of people.

When you visit Venice Beach you are actually visiting the waters of Santa Monica Bay. The waters are the most comfortable in the summer months as they are the perfect temperature for swimming, water sports, and simply splashing in the sandy water. You'll find that it is a good idea to arrive at Venice Beach during the late morning or early afternoon.

When you are done playing in the water you can enjoy the sidewalk scene, as it is often called. The sidewalk scene almost has a fair type atmosphere with dancers, artists, musicians, and bikini clad locals in abundant numbers. Before leaving Venice Beach you may want to grab a bite at Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom, which offers some of the best hot dogs on the beach! Venice Beach offers great eats, beautiful sand and sun, and entertainment galore making this a destination in and of itself for people of all ages.
